Do you know what to do for a Cardiac Arrest ?
We are all aware of the importance for prompt action when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, but would you know what to do?
Did you know that East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) offers free awareness demonstration sessions on how to deliver CPR and how to use a Defibrillator?
Part of the Cardiac Arrest Strategy of EMAS is to raise the awareness of the public of what to do if they found themselves in the unfortunate position of dealing with a cardiac arrest.
With this aim in mind EMAS’ Community Training Team offers free awareness sessions to:
• Community groups and Lodges
• Charities
• Businesses who deal with members of the public - we will run a session for your customers
• Youth and sports groups
Your local Contact with the Community Training Team is John Roughton,
John was formerly a Community First Responder for many years serving the local Community and as a local Freemason has been instrumental in fund raising for equipment and raising awareness of this vital service and this new Community Training Team plans to deliver this vital awareness training to all eligible groups (see above) so please take advantage of this excellent initiative
Nottinghamshire Freemasons are proud to publicise this EMAS initiative to the local community.
Please email him at john.roughton@emas.nhs.uk if you would like any further information or to make a booking.
