There are over 2000 Freemasons in the county with Masonic Halls located in the centre of Nottingham, West Bridgford, Chilwell, Mansfield, Worksop, Retford, and Newark, as well as Long Eaton.
Our headquarters is Freemasons Hall, on Goldsmith Street, Nottingham. As well as serving our members, the hall is also home to the Belgrave Rooms and Corinthian Restaurant and like many of our halls host weddings and conferences for the local communities.
Nottinghamshire Freemasonry has a well established tradition of encouraging every Brother, regardless of his time as a member, to contribute through his own life skills and choices to the furtherance of our organisation’s key aim of self development through commitment and enjoyment. Wherever you are in the county you can be assured of a warm welcome at a Masonic Hall near to where you live or work.
Whether participating in events, fundraising for a charitable cause or volunteering for public or community organisations, service is at the very heart of Freemasonry in Nottinghamshire. Our members make valuable contributions by donating time, resources and skills. As well as numerous smaller projects, Nottinghamshire masons focus on at least two major local charities each year. Recent projects have seen large donations made to the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, hospices and youth initiatives.
Of course there is a strong social side to Freemasonry in Nottinghamshire and many internal associations allow our members, partners and guests to pursue their interests in the arts, sports and pastimes.
