About the Lodge
Old Priory Lodge (founded in 1896) forms part of a unique members organisation that has thrived for over 300 years – The Freemasons. Having no political or religious affiliations, we comprise of members of all ages, races, religions, cultures and backgrounds.
Our Lodge currently has a membership of 45 and meets 6 times a year on the second Wednesday of each month from October to April (we have a summer break) at the Chilwell Masonic Hall in Chilwell, Nottinghamshire. Our meetings commence at 6:00pm with the official businesses usually concluded by 7:30pm, after which we enjoy a meal and time to socialise, and usually depart at around 9:30pm. We also hold regular rehearsals and study circles for those who wish to attend as well as a number of superb social events where all family and friends are most welcome.
At Old Priory Lodge we are proud to support and uphold the overall aims of Freemasonry. It is our wish to inspire and challenge you to practice the core values that we celebrate – Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity – in your private and public life. A Sociable disposition, a caring nature and a good sense of humour will ensure that you fit in nicely with our members who consist of a wide age group of men from many different professions both working and retired. They have varied interests and pastimes including Golf, Shooting, Football, Rugby, Classic Cars, Motorcycling and Travelling, to name but a few – we even have some very keen members who keep fit and Box! There is always someone to talk to and something to talk about.

Lodge History
Old Priory Lodge was warranted by The United Grand Lodge of England and consecrated in January 1896. Apart from a short time in the 1940’s the lodge has held its meetings in Beeston and Chilwell.
In 2022 the lodge amalgamated with its daughter lodge, The Beeston Lodge N° 6130.
