To celebrate not only the year of our Lord coinciding with their Lodge number but also the Tercentenary of Grand Lodge, the Duke of Portland Lodge No 2017 held an emergency meeting in the Indian Temple (No10) at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London on Thursday 25th May 2017.

Tim Sisson (PPrJGW) to take his chair in order to Initiate his son George Sisson into the Lodge. Bro. Edward Sisson (Senior Deacon) acted as Junior Deacon to guide his brother around the Temple.
During the afternoon the Ladies enjoyed the sights of, and shopping in, London. At 6:00pm a Festive Board was held at the Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, after which farewells were made at 8:00pm, and the Duke of Portland Lodge party returned by coach to Nottingham arriving back at 11:30pm, all having had a thoroughly enjoyable day.
