Companion Chris Yates, a Nottinghamshire Sojourner, visited Welbeck Chapter on Wednesday 12th October to present a paper entitled, ’The Great or Grand Sanhedrin’. The paper, written by Companion Tony Hopewell, explores the history and foundation of the Sanhedrin, from the time of Moses to present day Israel. The story defines the differences between the Great and Grand Sanhedrin, their roles and contribution to Jewish and Royal Arch history. The paper was very well received by all present, who were generally appreciative of both the content and presentation. Following this, the three Principals, Companions Ian Finden ‘Z’, Martin Johnson ‘H’ and David Sharp ‘J’, then presented the Symbolical lecture in a very competent manner.
The festive board that followed, was both lively and entertaining, rounding off a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all.
